About The Pathway Therapy Rooms
The Pathway Therapy Rooms is a specialist therapy practice based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, providing structured, evidence-informed psychological support for anxiety, habits, emotional regulation, and lasting personal change.

Our work is focused on helping people understand and update learned nervous system responses so that change is not forced through willpower but built through clarity, calm, and control.

We work with adults, young people, and families who feel stuck in patterns they no longer want, and who are ready to create meaningful, lasting change at a deeper level.
Our Approach
At The Pathway Therapy Rooms, we believe that lasting change comes not from fighting the mind, but from understanding how it learned its patterns in the first place.

We believe that anxiety is not a personal failure, but a learned nervous system response that can be unlearned.

We believe that change becomes sustainable when it is built through understanding, not forcing.

We work using structured, ethical, and evidence-informed approaches to psychological change, with a strong focus on helping clients regain a sense of calm, clarity, and control.

Above all, we believe that with the right support, tomorrow really can be better than yesterday.
About Glen Russell
The Pathway Therapy Rooms is led by Glen Russell, a Remedial Hypnotherapist, Anxiety Coach, and CONTROL System Practitioner with over five years’ experience in private practice.

Glen is an Anxiety UK–approved therapist and works using a combination of remedial hypnotherapy, the CONTROL System, and the STILL Method, alongside structured coaching and nervous system–informed approaches.

His work is known for being calm, structured, and deeply practical, helping clients not only feel better in the moment but also understand how to maintain change over time.

Glen works with a wide range of presentations, always tailoring each programme to the individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

Our Community Work
The Pathway Therapy Rooms is also the founding organisation behind The PathwayStill CIC, a community interest company providing accessible, community-based anxiety support for individuals, families, and groups who may not otherwise be able to access therapy.

Both organisations share a single core philosophy: helping people regain control, restore calm, and create meaningful, lasting change.

While The Pathway Therapy Rooms focuses on structured individual therapy, The PathwayStill CIC delivers programmes in the community, schools, and partner organisations, working toward the same purpose: improving mental wellbeing by addressing anxiety at its roots, not just its symptoms.
